Pay or View Bill

To start or stop service, call Water Works Billing at (513) 561-6679, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm to schedule a final reading.

Call the office at (513) 561-6679 to discuss payment plan options to avoid disconnection. Please do this before your water is shut off, once your water is shut off it cannot be turned back on without full payment of the outstanding bill along with an additional $50.00 shut off fee.

Per Indian Hill Ordinance, we can issue a maximum one time credit of $250.00 toward an underground leak repair.  The leak needs to have been an underground issue that caused the high bill, and must have a receipt for a documented repair performed by a plumber to receive the credit.  Irrigation system leaks are not considered underground leaks, the leak must derive from the water service line that feeds the home or business.

There is not a discount on the water used for filling your pool, but you will not be charged additional sewer charges if they apply.  Please advise the office at (513) 561-6679 if you fill a pool, so your account can be noted.

Your bill is calculated based on your water usage.

  • Has your usage increased?
  • Do you have a toilet running?
  • A faucet leaking?
  • Have you noticed any wet spots in your yard?

Please call the office at (513) 561-6679 and schedule a leak check.  There is no charge for this service.

Checks should be made payable to “Village of Indian Hill”.

Indian Hill Water Works and other water providers often have a minimum bill to cover the cost of replacement and maintenance of the necessary assets for safe drinking water delivery to your residence or business. There is still a cost to provide this essential service to you, our customer, even when no water is used. Piping, water treatment facilities, towers and personnel ready to respond to our customer’s needs all come at a cost to the Village. These fixed costs must be offset by a revenue source to keep this important service properly funded.

The minimum fixed cost for a 5/8” water user is $77.35 a quarter, which includes 13 CCFs, or 9,724 gallons of water. This amounts to $25.78 a month for 3,241 gallons of water. Industry standard normal usage for a typical household is 6,230 gallons of water used a month.

Please call the office at (513) 561-6679 and schedule a time to have a technician turn off your water for repair.

To stop billing while gone, call the office to have a technician turn the water off at the street.  Upon returning, again call the office and schedule the water to be turned back on and billing will resume.  It is also a good idea to be present when the water service is restored to verify there were no problems within the home while you were away.

Indian Hill Water is naturally hard, but is softened at the treatment plant to between 8.77 and 9.94 grains per gallon (gpg), this is equal to 150 -170 parts per million (ppm). The water hardness leaving the facility is increased slightly in the summer as a large volume of water is used for irrigation purposes.

Cloudiness is generally caused by air in the lines. Air gets in the lines when there is a break or repair and simply has to work itself out of the system. To get the air out of the lines, run the highest cold water fixture in your home until it stops sputtering.

A clear drinking water glass can also be used as a reference, once it can be filled without noticeable cloudiness, the air has been removed. Air will always find its way to the highest point in the water system, that’s why it is important to remove it from the highest fixture in the home first.

Fire hydrants are opened and flushed after a water main break in an effort to remove the bulk of the entrapped air for the water main before it enters your home. A failure to remove this entrapped air can cause more water main breaks and a multitude of other problems. In certain cases, they must be flushed for an extended period of time.
