Fourth of July Events

Fourth of July Parade & Festival:

The Village of Indian Hill’s July 4th parade and festivities will take place on Thursday, July 4, 2024. The parade begins at Cincinnati Country Day School at 10:00 a.m. The parade will travel along Given Road to Shawnee Run to Stephan Field. The parade will be led by the 2024 Grand Marshal – Colonel Chuck Schlie, Chief of Rangers! The parade will also feature antique cars, sports teams, scouts, stilt walkers, Indian Hill families and Police and Fire vehicles along with Village Council members.

Immediately following the parade at approximately 11:00am there will be food (available for purchase), fun, and music by the “Most Wanted Band” at Stephan Field. Other festivities include: entertaining stilt walkers and balloon artistry, face painting, an inflatable slide and obstacle course and various activities for all ages under the “Big Tent” in the center of the festival.

Fireworks:

In keeping with tradition, the Village will sponsor a fireworks display to finish a spectacular day. The fireworks show which will begin at approximately 9:45 p.m. at Stephan Field. Please make plans to arrive early and be especially aware of pedestrian traffic. Drake Road at Shawnee Run Road will be closed at the start of the fireworks and will re-open immediately afterwards. Rangers will be on hand to assist with the traffic flow and to keep vehicles moving, but your patience would be appreciated as traffic will move slowly.

There is no rain date for these events.

Parade Entry Form

Deadline for parade entry forms has been extended through Friday, June 21.
If you and your family have a classic car, participate on teams/sport groups, have a neighborhood group, etc and want to participate in this annual tradition; please complete the entry form. Simply click on the 4th of July Parade Entry Form. Once the form is completed, please return it via email to [email protected] or at the Village administrative offices, attention Sarah Fink.

Volunteers Still Needed!

Volunteers are still needed for the parade and event at Stephan Field. This is a great opportunity for families to participate together or for any student that is in need of community service hours. Adults and high school aged students are still needed for assistance with parade line up. Any adult or student that is interested in volunteering, please contact Sarah Fink at [email protected]

 

Fireworks Parking

  • The Indian Hill Administration building

There will be limited parking on Drake Rd. in front of the administration building and on Shawnee Run Rd. at Stephan Field.

No Parking: South Clippinger east of Shadyglen, Shadyglen, Stephan Field lot or in the bus driveway. We would like to remind the public that the connector parking lot at Stephan Park (parking lot closest to the school) is closed to all pedestrian and vehicle traffic all day on July 4th. This is due to maintain safety to the public while the Fireworks are being prepared for set up.

  • North lot of the Primary School: Left turn only (north) on Drake Rd.
  • South lot of primary school: By way of drive to South Clippinger, right turn only (west) on South Clippinger.
  • Elementary School lots: Right turn (north) on Drake or straight (west) on South Clippinger.
  • Drake Park: Left turn only (north) on Drake.
  • Indian Hill Church: Left turn only (south) on Drake.

Movie in the Park

Friday, August 9 at Dusk at Stephan Park

The Village of Indian Hill is excited to announce the upcoming Movie in the Park event on Friday, August 9 at dusk in Stephan Park. Join us as we close out Summer together by watching the family friendly movie “MIGRATION” under the stars. Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more exciting details!

Meet the Fleet

Thank you to our Indian Hill community for helping us kick off Summer with a successful first annual “Meet the Fleet” event. On Friday, May 31 the weather was perfect for an interactive morning exploring various vehicles at Livingston Park. A special thank you to our Village Council, Village staff and our many departments who supported as well as participated in the event. The vehicles and interaction from staff provided by the Rangers, Public Works, Water Works, Parks, Grand Valley, Joint Fire District Madeira/Indian Hill Station 64, and the Hamilton County SWAT, made the event so special. We look forward to seeing you again in 2025!
