Natural Gas Aggregation
VILLAGE GAS AGGREGATION RENEWAL OCTOBER 2025
The Village renewed its contract with IGS Energy for a new gas aggregation program that will begin with service in October 2025. The Village’s energy consultant held a competitive bid process, which included five other communities, where IGS’s renewal rate was the most competitive and provides Indian Hill residents an opportunity to capitalize on gas savings.
The new gas aggregation rate is $0.578/ccf. This rate will begin with October 2025 service and will continue for a two-year term through September 2027.
Opt-out letters from IGS Energy will be mailed to eligible residents on August 29, 2025. The deadline to opt-out will be September 19, 2025. If eligible residents do not opt-out by this deadline, they can still opt-out of the program later with no termination fee.
Eligible residents who will receive the opt-out letters include all residents actively participating in the Village’s current natural gas aggregation agreement and residents who are receiving their natural gas supply from Duke Energy even if you opted out of previous agreements.
After receiving the Opt-Out notice, if you wish to remain in the Village’s aggregation program, no action is required by you
You will not receive an opt-out letter for the program if you receive your natural gas supply service as the result of exercising your ability to contract your own supplier/rate outside the aggregation program or if you are registered for the PUCO’s Do-Not-Aggregate List.
RESEARCHING AGGREGATION RATES
Please know that residents can opt-out of the Village’s aggregation program and research their own program by visiting the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio's "Energy Choice Ohio" at www.energychoice.ohio.gov.
If you wish to choose a different plan than the one offered by the Village, the Village cautions that you become familiar with another vendor’s program thoroughly before making the switch. Vendors may provide lower introductory rates; however, once the introductory period expires, rates may increase significantly higher than the Village’s longer-term aggregation rate. In addition, there may be fees and penalties with cancellation prior to a contract end date. There are no fees or penalties associated with the Village’s program.
Please do not hesitate to contact the Village at [email protected] or Jordan Haarman of AGE, the Village’s energy consultant, at 618-203-8328 if you have questions or need additional information.
