Late Thursday, March 26, 2020, the Ohio State General Assembly passed HB 197 which, amongst many other COVID-19 related provisions, approved a continuation of the March 17th Primary to April 28, 2020. However, this continuation includes no in-person voting at the polls. The provision only allows voting to occur through an absentee ballot. In order for you to participate, a request must be made to the Hamilton County Board of Election for a ballot to be sent to you. The request form is located at https://votehamiltoncountyohio.gov/voting-options/mail/or you can call 513-632-7000. Once you download or receive the form in the mail, you must fill it out in its entirety, including your signature. The completed form can be returned to the Hamilton County Board of Elections by mail or by dropping it off in the marked receptacle on site at:

Hamilton County Board of Elections
4700 Smith Road
Cincinnati, Ohio 45212

The Board of Election will mail you an absentee ballot with instructions. Once you have filled out your ballot, you will mail it back to the Board in the postage paid envelope or by placing it in the marked receptacle on site at the Board of Elections. The ballot must be postmarked by April 27, 2020 or dropped off on site by 3:00 p.m. on April 28, 2020. As a reminder, the Village of Indian Hill has its Charter recommendations listed as Issue 1 on the ballot. Information regarding Issue 1 was sent to all registered voters in early February. You may refer to https://indianhill.gov/charter for details regarding these requested changes.

As always, thank you for your patience, understanding and flexibility during this pandemic and for respecting and adhering to the COVID-19 federal and state guidelines. We are all in this together as we work to flatten the curve. Please do not hesitate to contact the Village with any questions as pertinent services continue to be provided.

Wishing you good health always,
