Independence Day Parade & Festivities – Volunteers Needed!
Mark your calendars for the Village of Indian Hill’s Annual Independence Day parade and festivities, which will take place on Friday, July 4. The parade begins at Cincinnati Country Day School at 10:00 a.m. followed by food, fun and music at Stephan Field. In keeping with tradition, the Village of Indian Hill will sponsor a fireworks display which will begin at approximately 9:45 p.m. at Stephan Field.
- Deadline for parade entry forms has been extended through Friday, June 20. If you and your family have a classic car, participate on teams/sport groups, have a neighborhood group, etc and want to participate in this annual tradition; please complete the entry form on the Village of Indian Hill website https://indianhill.gov/documents/fourth-of-july-parade-entry-form/ Simply click on the 4th of July Parade Entry Form. Once the form is completed, please return it via email to [email protected] or at the Village administrative offices, attention Sarah Fink.
- Volunteers Still Needed: Volunteers are still needed for the parade and event at Stephan Field. This is a great opportunity for families to participate together or for any student that is in need of community service hours. Adults and high school aged students are still needed for assistance with parade line up. Any adult or student that is interested in volunteering, please contact Sarah Fink at [email protected]
Fireworks
In keeping with tradition, the Village will sponsor a fireworks display to finish a spectacular day. The fireworks show which will begin at approximately 9:45pm at Stephan Field. Please make plans to arrive early and be especially aware of pedestrian traffic. Drake Road at Shawnee Run Road will be closed at the start of the fireworks and will re-open immediately afterwards. Rangers will be on hand to assist with the traffic flow and to keep vehicles moving, but your patience would be appreciated as traffic will move slowly.
Fireworks Parking
- Both Indian Hill Primary school lots
- All lots at Indian Hill Elementary
- Limited availability at Indian Hill High School
- Drake Park
- Both Indian Hill Church lots
- The Indian Hill Administration building
There will be limited parking on Drake Rd. in front of the administration building and on Shawnee Run Rd. at Stephan Field.
No Parking
South Clippinger east of Shadyglen, Shadyglen, Stephan Field lot or in the bus driveway. We would like to remind the public that the connector parking lot at Stephan Park (parking lot closest to the school) is closed to all pedestrian and vehicle traffic all day on July 4th. This is due to maintain safety to the public while the Fireworks are being prepared for set up.
Exiting the Fireworks
- North lot of the Primary School: Left turn only (north) on Drake Rd.
- South lot of primary school: By way of drive to South Clippinger, right turn only (west) on South Clippinger.
- Elementary School lots: Right turn (north) on Drake or straight (west) on South Clippinger.
- Drake Park: Left turn only (north) on Drake.
- Indian Hill Church: Left turn only (south) on Drake.
