The Village of Indian Hill contracts with the Hamilton County General Health District for the enforcement of most State of Ohio mandated programs related to Public Health. These contract services are related to school inspection; including both environmental and food service operations, public swimming pool inspections, and various general health programs. Hamilton County Public Health employees perform household sewage disposal system inspections and monitor such systems on an ongoing basis.

The Village has an ordinance regulating household sewage disposal systems in accordance with State Health Department regulations. This ordinance mandates an annual inspection of each system. The inspectors carry proper identification and are instructed to contact residents, who are home, prior to inspecting the systems.

For information on registered  service providers for septic systems, please visit the Hamilton County Public Health website.  All septic system service and pumping must be performed by a  service provider registered with Hamilton County.
