Annual Street Resurfacing Program
The budget for the 2025 road program is $1,200,000. In 2024, the Village applied to Hamilton County for $66,300 of Municipal Road Funding (MRF). MRF awards are anticipated to be announced in spring 2025. The project was awarded to John R. Jurgensen. The street paving list for 2025 includes: Algonquin Dr., Camp Rd. (from Kugler Mill Rd. to Corp. line), Crabtree Ln., Kugler Mill Rd. (from Corp. line to butt joint approx. 1280’ away), Mohican Ln., Muchmore Rd., Muchmore Point Ln., Sentinel Ridge Ln., Sugarun Ln., and Spooky Hollow Rd. (from Blome Rd. to the top of the hill). Repaving the parking lot at Camp Dennison Park will also occur as part of the project, as well as some other miscellaneous repairs and road work as funding allows.
The tentative schedule is to start concrete curb replacements on April 14, & work on storm sewer repairs between April 21 – May 16. Road milling is anticipated to begin May 19 on roadways and on/after June 1 at Camp Dennison parking lot. The Camp Dennison parking lot will have some closures posted during the workdays when the crew is physically there working to mill, do depth repairs, & apply SAMI, but the parking lot can be reopened for use each evening. However, after the asphalt surface course is laid, the parking lot will be closed for a day. Fresh pavement is more easily damaged by vehicle turning movements (getting in & out of parking spaces) than through traffic on a road. Lane closures are anticipated on roadways during construction.
